U.S. President George W. Bush addresses delegates at the MajorEconomies Meeting on Energy Security...
"U.S. President George W. Bush addresses delegates at the Major Economies Meeting on Energy Security and Climate Change at the State Department in Washington September 28, 2007." Bush kicked off the second day of the conference on global warming under pressure from the world's major economies to accept binding limits on emissions of greenhouse gases. Bush was to give an announcement on the decisions he was planning on making toward the climate but mixed up toward other issues that cause these problems in the frist place. According to the White House they wanted to let the GOP conservatives to enforce support either shortaging and avoiding trainwreck. I think this wouldn't go too well because probably if the conservative may be forced to do and complete with the administrations rules that they might rebell and fight for a law including the citizens to do the same. "A range of options presented at a meeting last week between senior White House officials and a group of Republican lawmakers was aimed at gauging the reaction to a possible shift of Bush administration policy on climate change." Changing and speaking about Bush's decisions toward his policy of climate was the only way to make the issues more clearer. Even so the meeting wasn't as pleasing many saw this as a "politcal Appeasment" on global warming.
"The Bush administration has been a staunch opponent of a mandatory so-called "cap-and-trade" approach to reducing greenhouse gases, preferring largely voluntary measures to broadly address global warming." Bush had to make not scarificing but change his terms on how he wanted to help the climate and major problems by agreeing to other people's terms. Even if Bush is probably the highest authority that dose'nt mean he has to not allow others to give help. I think it's true that not everyone is willing to side with the congress or administrations actions but if we don't vote for our decisions it can really mess up our chances of helping our enviroment. I think the idea of the dcisions as a poliltical appeasment probably scared people into being forced to pay or participate in something they were not willing to do.

Political cartoon

This political cartoon is trying to say that bush has completly changed the meaning behind the american flag bringing in the war, poverty, and economic failures to destroy the image of the U.S. The US flag usually represents freedom and peace and our past nation's sacrifice, giving the U.S a strong powerful image. By him deaming the image of the U.S. he has destroyed the strong and peace of the nations overrall power that makes our country what it is or in this case what it was. As you will also see the eagal and the past president instead of Bush buliding the U.S. he is practically rottening our country and past presidents efforts on our country.
In my opinion i do agree with the image message because through Bush we have spend billions of dollars on uneeded sources that heavily affect us. The U.S. image has been destroyed because we are not able to improve or advance our economy. Instead of helping other's in need are as well suffering because of his unnessary decisions. This dosen't only affect us but other countries as well because we are united. This bring a shows a bad image of our economies struggles and the other countries will see us as a disfunctioning country.
